
Cheryl began playing piano and singing in choirs
at age five and started playing flute at
age nine. She has a Bachelor's Degree
in Music Education from Colorado State University with an additional post-graduate year
in flute performance.
Cheryl taught private flute and piano, and was a substitute public school music
teacher for many years. She also served as adjudicator for several solo and ensemble student
music competitions. She has remained an active performer in community bands and orchestras, performing flute and vocal solos for church and private events, as well as singing in church and community choirs and performing in classic/country rock bands.
Cheryl sings positive songs, performs flute,
vocal, keyboard and guitar for weddings, churches, memorials, inspirational gatherings, group meetings and workshops. She leads sing-along shows for people with disabilities, seniors and children.
Cheryl has
excellent sight-reading abilities and enjoys
playing flute and piccolo in pick-up orchestras or small
ensembles. She plays background easy-listening piano
music and provides vocals at festive private events
such as Christmas gatherings, wedding receptions and dinner parties.
Most recent performances include
"Tulips" flute duo, playing flute and
piccolo in the Seattle-based "Cornucopia
Band", conducting sing-along shows at the ElderHealth Connection and singing lead vocals with a classic rock band. Cheryl also has a passion about helping people discover
a better way to age, as a wellness coach and independent distributor of innovative health aging products
by Univera.
